Step 1: Pick a date and time for your party, call our office and reserve that date. We find that two weeks advance notice is good.
Step 2: Invite friends, co-workers, family, neighbors, club members, church friends, sports friends etc via email or mailed invitation. We can email you a sample invitation that many of our successful hosts have found effective. Some people prefer a personal phone invitation. A LOT depends on what your comfort level is.
We have found that on average about 30% of those you invite will attend so invite as many people as you like. MORE IS BETTER!
Step 3: A few days before your scheduled party contact your guests again via phone or email as a reminder.
Step 4: Party day! Prepare for the fun! We find that less is more. most guests are happy to sip on a bit of wine and eat chopped up veggies and chips.
Step 5: After the party the Gold Buyer will tally up the jewelry bought and cut the host of the party a check for ten percent of the total.
Our buying team will arrive about an hour before the party to set up the gold and jewelry evaluation equipment. Usually we utilize a kitchen size table with good lighting. We find that the entire process is so much fun for guests that entertainment is usually kept to soft music and snacks. Others only pay for gold scrap value and many tell you that all color stones are synthetic, not natural. We also offer more than just scrap value for what you bring especially antique, vintage or signed jewelry. Read the fine print on those mail in offers. They state that they only buy scrap and for scrap value, most often under 50% of the true scrap value and the biggest advertising company buys at only 20% of the value. That's up to you. As a Unique & Precious Gold Party host, you not only get to sell your gold at the party, you also take a percentage of the party's sales. Remember we buy Gold, Diamonds, Watches, Sterling Silver, Platinum, keeping that figure in mind, you'll do well to invite as many people as you can and encourage your guests to bring as much Jewelry items as they can. Also, your organization, church, synagog or school can make a nice commission hosting buying events with us.

Yes! Any party booked from your party makes you money -- $100 is yours per successful party-- so be sure to encourage your guests to book a gold party of their own. Not only is it a money maker for them, but it means more cash for you.

I'm 16 and selling these items for a friend. Is that acceptable?
According to our Terms and Conditions, customers selling gold must be at least 18 years of age and the legitimate owners of any property presented for sale. Be sure to bring proper identification and documentation as you may be asked to provide proof of age and ownership.
How much time does it take in-store?
The time you spend with our gold buying expert depends upon the amount of items you bring in and the ease in which your pieces can be evaluated. For example, if you bring in a handful of average gold items -- a few necklaces, a couple charms, a plain wedding band -- you may be out the door within five to ten minutes. Larger piles of treasure with more complicated items can take up to 30-minutes or so. Either way, it's not a lot of time invested for a pleasing payout
What are you paying for gold?

Many factors are taken into account when we consider the value of your gold. The price of gold changes almost every day. Purity is also important. For example, 24kt gold pieces will be of greater value than 14kt gold. Your necklace may be real gold, but the clasp may be gold-plated. Accurate weight and evaluation is key. Only when these factors are combined are our gold buying experts able to provide an in-person quote.
I've got a 14k gold bracelet that weighs about 21.8 grams. Can I get a telephone quotation?
We appreciate it that you've done your homework. But it's important that we do our homework, too, in order to offer you the absolute best price for your gold. Thus, we cannot and will not provide telephone quotations. We highly recommend that you bring in your gold for an evaluation. With your gold items in hand, our gold buying experts will have all the tools in-house to weigh, measure, test, and examine the pieces for value. What is pennyweight?
After determining quality and purity, Unique & Precious gold buying experts measure your gold not by the gram but by the pennyweight. A pennyweight (dwt) is a unit of mass, which is the same as 24 grains, 1/240th of a troy pound, 1/20th of a troy ounce, approximately 0.055 ounces, or approximately 1.555 grams. It is the standard to which most precious metals are weighed. Watch out for other buyers who offer to buy in pennyweights but when you get there give you a gold quote and receipt in gram value.
